Making Community Events Possible
Grinter’s recently sponsored a tournament at Central Bowling Club Cambridge. These events require support from around the community in order to run, so it’s important for local businesses to get involved.
“We write to thank you for your sponsorship of our 2x4x2 Tournament on 17 April. It was a great day and was enjoyed by all. We also thank you for the Club Programme book you do each year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

Pink Ribbon Breakfast
Grinter’s Funeral Home hosted a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a great turnout on the day, and together we were able to raise $725. From all of us at Grinter’s Funeral Home, we would like to say a big thank you to all who attended. It was great to see so many people supporting a great cause, and being involved in the Cambridge community.
Community Contribution Award
We were honoured to win the Community Contribution Award at the 2023 Waipā Networks Business Awards.
It was great to be recognised for our community involvement and achievements over the years.
We also took home the Excellence in Small Business Award and were a finalist for the Waste Minimisation – Environmental Award.

Lest We Forget
Grinter’s Funeral Home recently sponsored a commemorative ANZAC Day event, remembering those who served from Cambridge. Below you’ll find feedback on the event from the Cambridge Community Board:
“On behalf of the ANZAC and Armistice Remembrance Organising Committee I would like to thank you for your contribution to ANZAC Day. The Committee very much appreciates your sponsorship of the lightshow the evening before. The lightshow event has been held for about five years now, and your contribution towards the 2019 event helped to portray the local service men and women who served from Cambridge. The video from the event is now being held at the Cambridge Museum for future reference. Feedback received from participants included that the show was very moving and thought provoking. Thank you once again for your generous contribution.”

Cambridge Bowling Tournament
Grinter’s sponsored the Triples Tournament at Cambridge Bowling Club, involving over 50 participants. Read the response from the club below, reflecting on a successful day.
“Thank you for sponsoring our recent Triples Tournament. The day was gloriously fine, and the green filled with happy bowlers from far afield (Tokoroa, Hamilton & Te Awamutu as well as Cambridge). Eighteen teams involving 54 bowlers participated, and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had. Without the support of businesses in the town, our club would be unable to attract the same interest in our tournaments, and it is, there, greatly appreciated.”

Bringing A Smile Back To Isaac
Here at Grinter’s, we think being part of the community is to help out in times of need.
Isaac Harris-Early’s mum posted on a community page that his scooter has been stolen from right outside their family home. When we heard of Isaac losing his scooter, it made sense to help him out with a replacement – he was chuffed!
