Sending love from our family to yours on this special day as you come together to celebrate Alan’s life and all he did for, and gave to, you all.
The Sparrows. Christchurch.
Toni, Don and Craig,
My thoughts are with you today, your Dad and Mum were amazing people who I loved dearly. They were the thread that connected me to the Luxton family I was born into.
Although I chose to live in Canada the thread was always there.I remember I was a little envious of your childhoods and how great a role your Dad played.
When we talked he always told me how each of you were doing and how proud he was of you .
Of your partners and then the grandchildren, we talked of their pursuits and successes and he revelled in being part of your lives. His love for each of you was obvious and he set a great example for me. I wish I could be present to celebrate Alan’s incredible life with you.
Please pass on my heartfelt sympathy to all of the family, a hug to you all
Alan ,younger brother of Wallace and uncle to stephen Kent phillip and John was always great company with that Luxton wit never far from the surface.
A Luxton to be proud of , my memories…
he could make a nourishing bail of hay
Play a punishing game of golf
Put an acceptable amount of beer to rest
And had a gift of finding humour in most things.
We will miss you old boy.
