PILE, Christopher Michael (Reg No. A23713) Lieutenant Commander, R.N.Z.N. Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Friday, 6th June 2025, aged 87 years.
Dearly loved husband and companion of Arline for 67 cherished years. Adored father and father-in-law of Nicky & Chris, Karen, and Chris (Jnr). Proud and loving Grandad to his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family extends special thanks to the Cambridge Emergency Services for their swift care and to the Cambridge RSA for their ongoing support and friendship.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at the Victorian Room, Cambridge Town Hall, Victoria Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, 12th June 2025 at 11:00am, followed by a private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge RSA would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

    My lovely brother, so sorry to hear from Nicky that you had died. Although it is a long time since we actually saw each other, we did keep in touch by phone.

    My lovely big brother! Although we haven’t seen each for a long time we spoke quite often on What’s app.
