I first met Lion Dave 40 odd years ago when the family had a home in Taylor St. They subsequently moved to Bowen St & we lost contact until Dave joined The Lions Club of Cambridge some years ago. Dave was a tireless worker at the Lions Shed & was very much instrumental in the success it is today. I will miss our coffee mornings & the friendly banter we enjoyed. Farewell Dave on your final journey you will be long remembered.

I will always remember Dave’s kindness and his support when I had a stroke. Condolences to his family and friends at this hard time.

    Dear Dave,

Although I hadn’t seen you and Barabara for some time, you were both often in my thoughts. You were such wonderful friends to me over a long period of time. I will always have fond memories of our weekly catch ups over a Glass of Rabbit Ranch in the kitchen, sharing fishing stories and catching up on the general news, having a chat and a laugh at the dinners for the Lions monthly meetings. These were highlights of my week/month. The emails with jokes that you would send would always make me smile and laugh. You will be very much missed . My love and thoughts go out to Barbara and family xx

I felt sadness and sympathy for you and the family Barbara, when I read of your dear Dave’s passing.
Be sure of my ongoing loving prayerful thoughts as you adjust and move forward with all those special memories into this changed time of life and living.

So sorry to hear of your passing and sending lots of love to all the Philip family.
Although it was a very long time ago there is one thing that you said (I think one evening when we had all drunk too much red wine!) that I now say to my closest people and kids……’If you get to my age (pretty much my age now in my 50’s!) and you can count on one hand 5 best friends that will be there for you at a drop of the hat…….you are a very lucky person!’
Very happy to say I am very lucky……Rest in Peace Mr Philip and hope the fishing is great up there xxx
