Faye Gwenyth Walker. Born 15th August 1943 in Te Aroha. Faye and Trevor were at their holiday home in Mt Maunganui when she passed away suddenly on 17th August 2021.

Faye was the mother of Leanne, Julie, Stephen and Sandra. Sister to Lynette, Gail and Diane. Grandmother to Jamie-Lee, Jade, Charlotte, Cameron, Trent, Brooke and Mason. Great-grandmother to Arlo, Khari and Owen. Faye was the eldest daughter of Nancy and Bob Tremain.

Faye leaves a huge gap in our lives, and she will be a great loss to Trevor, family and many friends.

A memorial day of remembrance will be held later in the year to celebrate Faye’s life.

    Dear Faye,
It has been my pleasure to have you accept me as part of your family, since Sandra and Craig became partners. Your hospitality and generosity is without parallel, and the many shared Christmas Days and other family occasions are just examples of this. We have had many many special times together especially through our shared grandchildren, but also without them with our numerous cups of tea, and dinners or lunches out together. Although your passing has saddened me greatly, I am comforted in a small part that you are no longer in pain. You will be terribly missed by many, but also remembered with much love. Yvonne Lomey

    Dear Nana Faye,
It was a pleasure having you in my life always so kind and accepting of me. I am so pleased you got my letter before your passing. You’re now with Stephen and Mum, so please say Hello from me. Love from Nathan Gilbert
