Dear Margaret
So sad to hear of John’s death. He’ll be sadly missed by your families and the dancing families. When my husband died I continued dancing ( we danced 4-5 times a week) and that helped me immensely. I hope you feel able to do the same and that the Waikato dancing families are as welcoming as the Wellington groups.
Thinking of you and I wish you all the best

Dear Margaret,
I recognise that lovely spot at Te Anau. I also recognise John from the Operatunity trip.
You probably don’t remember me as I was only with the trip for 2 days and left at Fairlie.
I was the reason you all had a long morning tea break as it gave my son time to come from Timaru
and meet the bus and take me home back to Kerikeri in Northland.
Sue received a message from my family that my husband had just had a heart attack and was dying.
She was marvellous !
I got home at 11pm that night and my dear husband died 2 days later so I think I understand
the shock you are feeling at present. I am very sorry to hear your loss. I’m still feeling numb
and don’t know when it’s going to really sink in, but so pleased that you both managed to spend those
precious last days together with such a wonderful group of people in such a happy atmosphere.
As I have no reason to stay home alone at the moment, I’m heading off on another Operatunity trip on
the Murray River in 2 weeks to try and recapture what I missed out on. Sue & John and team have been
very supportive to me and who knows, we may meet up again on another trip.
Thinking of you at this sad time,
Enid Honiss.

Dear Margaret: So very sorry to learn of John’s untimely passing.
To know you both so enjoyed the Heritage Tour is a bonus.
Take care Margaret. Warm Regards, June Douglas
Dear Margaret and family 👪 I didn’t know John personally, but knew he was Margaret’s husband…what a wonderful, smashing man he was, you had a very special guy there 👍 May he find Rock and Roll in heaven.. fondest regards Christine from England 🇬🇧
Dear Marg.
Thinking of you at this very sad time.
While you will miss him so very much you will have many wonderful memories to keep forever. My sincere sympathy. Much love. ❤️
