Beloved wife of the late Huub. Loving mother of Anita (dec) and Rick. Oma to five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Maria was a kind, loving, thoughtful lady who brought joy to people’s lives and she was loved by many.

A service to celebrate the life of Maria will be held at 1.00 pm on Tuesday, 12 August at Raleigh Street Christian Centre, 24-26 Raleigh Street, Leamington, followed by private cremation.

My condolences to the family of Maria. She was a dear friend and family member. her late husband was my father’s cousin. Maria and I shared many messages and jokes on the internet. Maria was a very caring and loving person and I will miss her dearly.

It is with heart felt sadness you have left.
You were a true and exceptional friend for our sick mother, you called in regularly with either a flower or delicious Dutch treat. Always positive, caring , quiet and consolingly there. You provided much comfort when we were coping with our ill mother and your friendship meant everything to her. We will miss you, especially all our chats and laughs.
The world was certainly a better place for having you in it. You have enriched the lives of many around you. May you rest in peace, soar with the angels and be with your daughter.

So many wonderful memories of the journey’s we’ve shared through tears and laughter. I came to know you through Anita and through numerous Christmases and other celebrations and you turning up, I adopted you as part of our family too. You even came to my wedding when my own family didn’t. Thank you for your generous heart to share your family with me. I am richer for having known you.
