KING, Paama Anaru:
Sadly, we lost the taonga of our whānau, marae, iwi, hāpori on Monday, 26th May 2025, aged 43 years young.
The much loved son of Andrew & Gay. Treasured brother of Hingatu and to many of his close cousins. Adored uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Well respected friend to many past and present work colleagues.
There are no words to express or explain the pain we are all feeling and experiencing through this unexpected tragedy. It’s drawn his whānau and friends from all over Aotearoa and Australia and we thankyou all for your kind, comforting words and messages to us at this time. We can’t thank our kaimahi enough for the tireless efforts to help us through. Mā te atua, tatou katoa, e manaaki, e tiaki Rire Rire Hau Pamarire.
A tangi for Paama will be held at Maungatautari Marae, 271 Hicks Road, Marungatautari on Friday, the 30th of May 2025 at 11:00 am.
Messages to the King Family can be sent c/- 3 Hallys Lane, Cambridge 3434 or in Paama’s online tribute book on this page.

Will be missed by all. Hug’s and kisses to you Gay and your daughter.
To Sonny and Gay,
How very sorry I am to hear of the passing of your son Paama.
I only knew him for a short while, as a baby, while belonging to the Cambridge United Rugby Club, back in the 1980’s.
I know a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, but I felt that I must pass on to you and all your family, my deepest sympathy.
Haere ra – and my best wishes to you both,
Gary.
Sending my love and condolences to the King family and the greater Maungatautari family.
Rest in Love Paama
Donna Manderson – (Green)
