Poppy, my love for you is endless, you were the best poppy a girl could ask for. You looked after me every school holidays, we had almost daily walks to feed the ducks at Pukekura park, we made candy floss at every West End School gala day that you were principal of. We belonged to the Mt Egmont Tramping club and covered many of the walks on Mt Egmont, inc the White Cliffs Walk which was spectacular. We made the best mouse traps with peanut butter, left over potato (because every meal had to have spuds in it) gherkin, and cheese on molenberg bread and all grilled under the “Gorilla”. 52 long years of memories and the sharing of my 3 children your great-grandchildren. Rest In Peace, fly free and think of me as you twinkle high with the Stars.
