    Dear Robert,
We had no idea you were such a celebrity in Cambridge. So much so, you even earned the privilege of being taken to and from your service on “FLICK” the fire engine. I bet you loved that.
Your funeral service was a true “Celebration of your Life”. Tributes from family, friends and Cambridge business representatives all expressed much the same.
You were a true gentleman. Kind, friendly, cheerful, helpful and well mannered.
On a personal note Robert, you were a much loved brother, brother-in-law and Uncle.
We will miss our trips to Cambridge Life to have a cuppa and play a few games of Drafts with you.
Rest in Peace. You will always be in our hearts.
    Brian, Cecelia and Melissa.

    To the family of Robert,

It is with profound sadness that I pen these words, mourning the loss of Robert, my cherished neighbor. He was a beacon of warmth, his kindness a constant presence that brightened every encounter. I am forever grateful for the moments we shared, from our fence side conversations to the spirited games of checkers and pool at my home.

I will always remember his gentle spirit, particularly the way he would return my football whenever it sailed over the fence, a small act that embodied his thoughtful nature. His absence is deeply felt, especially the silence where once his joyful singing filled the air. Robert, you were a truly sweet soul, and your memory will forever be treasured.

My dad, Steve, joins me in extending our heartfelt condolences. May you find solace and strength during this time of sorrow.

You were always such a help at the Grey Power meetings Robert, setting up the room and tidying away afterwards . We have missed you at our meetings, your kindness and your happy laugh. Rest in Peace

Robert, you will be missed, a person who cared for people, once you knew their name , they were friends. You were a stalwart of the Anzac and Armistice Parades, Thankyou for always being present to lay flowers at the Cenotaph, you were missed at the last Anzac service, but there were flowers from you, We will have to lay flowers to remember you at our next Armistice and Anzac services .
Thankyou for being you, Robert, a wonderful member of our community who seemed to know everyone’s name., and was a friend to all.
    Rest in Peace.

    Robert,
I will miss you more than you will ever know. You were my first brother and as kids we got up to some mischief. All in good fun though. As I told you countless times, you are loved by more people than you can imagine. Everyone in town knew you and respected you greatly. Rest easy now sweetie. You have touched so many people, and they will all miss you too. Love you sweetie.
