MCCLELLAN, Shirley-Anne: Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on Monday, 20 October, 2025, surrounded by family, aged 88 years. Loved wife of the late Alan McClellan. Cherished mother of Anne, Ian and Adrian. Very proud grandma of Jacynta, Danielle and Caitlin; Oliver, Dashiell and Lucinda; Laura and Sophie. and one great-grandson Axton. Messages to the ‘McClellan Family’ can be sent c/- Grinter’s Funeral Home, 3 Hallys Lane, Cambridge 3434 or in Shirley-Anne’s online tribute book on this page. Shirley-Anne’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the St Peter’s Catholic Church, 21 Anzac Street, Cambridge on Wednesday, 29 October at 10.00 am, followed by interment at Hautapu Cemetery.

    I feel fortunate to have had a chance to know Shirley. To see her quick wit, straight-forward manner of addressing challenges, and to learn of only a few, but very interesting, stories from her well-lived life.

    It was lovely to get to know Shirley-Anne later in her life in Sydney. She was a warm and devoted mother, and keen to be involved in the life of the family. Shirley-Anne will be sadly missed x
